What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?

Cannabidiol, or “CBD” for short, is a natural compound that is derived from the leaves, stalks, and flowers of hemp or marijuana cannabis plants. CBD is one of many cannabinoids produced by the plant and is widely accepted as non-intoxicating, meaning it doesn’t cause the “high” most people associate with marijuana. CBD is considered the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis plants after Tetrahydrocannabinol (“THC”), the primary psychotropic cannabinoid.
